UFC Champ Ronda Rousey Signs Endorsement Deal with Fast Food Chain Carl’s Jr.
By Adam Fromal
Carl’s Jr. is making a change in the way it promotes its product thanks to the success of a certain UFC women’s bantamweight champion.
Eater.com recently reported that Ronda Rousey will serve as the latest spokesperson for the fast food restaurant chain (h/t MMAFighting.com). The news could mean a departure from Carl’s Jr.’s previous advertising approach, which relied commercials featuring scantily clad models eating the restaurant’s burgers in suggestive fashion.
While terms of the deal were not disclosed, Rousey’s Carl’s Jr. commercial will debut in a “few weeks,” according to the report.
Rousey is coming off a 34-second blowout of Bethe Correia at UFC 190 in Rio de Janeiro this past Saturday. The 28-year-old Olympic judoka is likely to face rival Miesha Tate for a third time in her next title defense, although a date for that bout has yet to be announced.
